August Favourites...

My recent obsession with Polyvore has caused this set up instead of me lining up my product picks…I kind of like it though and I don’t have great camera so this could well be the new favourites set up each month.

First is a scent that has well and truly stolen my heart Tom Ford’s Black Orchid. An intoxicating strong scent that is unisex but I do think it leans a tad feminine, strong and sexy this perfume demands respect. I can’t describe this without butchering it so here’s the official description;

‘A dramatic signature unfolds with the custom-made TOM FORD BLACK ORCHID blended with dark, tempting florals and rich fruit accords. The heart is deepened with the intoxicating Lotus Wood. The decadent Noir Gourmand Accord is balanced by Patchouli-incense and Vetiver. Vanilla tears add a fluid creaminess to warm Balsam and smooth Sandalwood.’

I have well and truly sold my soul to this expensive scent it is what I would like to smell like forever.
Nars Sheer Glow – An old favourite and the only foundation apart from MAC’s Studio Fix I’ve ever re purchased. It looks so natural and perfect on the skin and the coverage is flawless, it is highly pigmented so a coupe of drops does the job well. It wears well and looks amazing, this is slowly making its way into my ‘hall of fame’.
Mac Honey Love - THE nude, I have a habit of going crazy for a new nude and forgetting about this one, it may be down to the fact all my MAC lipsticks are together in one box I do neglect them…This gives such a lovely long wearing pink/brown nude it is so flattering and completes the make up look I go for everyday.
Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Hollow – I have been LOVING this recently it really is the best contour product I have found perfect for paler skins, if you are a MAC nc/w20 or paler this is what you need. I personally don’t like a bronzed contour I want to add depth and shadow. This looks very natural lasts all day, and is a perfect base for winged liner on a daily basis (however it does crease on the eye lids to powder).
Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser with Orange Extract – Longest name ever. I have recently been really getting back into skincare; this is due to two factors; 1. I am 25 this month and am terrified of the first signs of aging. 2. The Courtin – Clarins cousins and their youtube videos. This smells beautiful and is not at all scratchy, I do prefer to manually exfoliate but nothing too rough or too gentle like goldilocks for me this is just right. I use this 3 times a week to keep my skin clear and smooth.
