Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Collection

Currently five but I have a feeling this little rose gold family will grow...

I have mentioned these before in a previous post here. Since then the collection has grown so I thought I would share the shades and what I think of them.
Now I know the rose gold vintage style packaging isn't for everyone, similar to how the little black bullets of MAC lipsticks always remind me of tampons....anyone else with me on that? Needless to say the contents of the decadent casing is equally as superb.

Charlotte currently does two lipsticks variants, the K.I.S.S.I.N.G and the Matte Revolution. The first is your more traditional lipstick, if MAC creme sheen and amplified had a baby this is what it would be. In that formula I have Bitch Perfect (first swatch) & Penelope Pink (second). Both of these shades are extremely wearable and are something I opt for when I want a simple fairly natural lip. As you can see they are very similar Bitch Perfect is a simple peachy pink, easy to wear and flattering on most skin tones. Penelope Pink was actually designed for Penelope Cruise herself as Charlotte is one her of make up artists. This is the CT nude. There is also Nude Kate but that is cooler and lighter so not as natural as the above - the perfect reserved nude.

The last three are the Matte Revolution formula. The first thing you might notice is shape of the bullet itself. Charlotte as designed these lipstick's to mimic the shape of a square lip brush to make them easier to apply - I disagree. As it is different to all other lipsticks out there I'm just not used to it. The formula's of these are perfection, they look velvet matte but feel so creamy and comfortable. The first shade 'Walk of Shame' swatch three is a dirty nude red. Looks stunning on and perfect for anyone wanting that 90's nude vibe with a far more interesting feel. Glaston-berry is purple - look at the swatch it's aubergine purple. Not what I wanted or expected, it looked on line a more berry shade. It's nice if you want a purple lipstick.
Last is my favourite 1975 red. This was limited so may not be available any longer, it would however be worth looking on line. This is a orange red. Like Lady Danger by MAC but brighter and more intense.I wore this loads in the summer it truly is beautiful.

I currently have my eye on Love Liberty, Bond Girl & Night Crimson. CT lipsticks are £23 each and available from Charlotte Tilbury direct aswell as John Lewis, Fenwick, Selfridges, Harvey Nics, Harrods & Net - A - Porter.
