The Empties - A True Review...

Reviewing a new product is easily done, but when that product has been 100% used up you know the review will reveal the good, the bad, and the useless. I personally love reading a review on a 'empty' because you know it's been genuinely tried and tested. I've used many products that I've loved at first buy, and sung from the roof tops that it's the best holy grail product ever and that  I'd sell my soul for a lifetime supply! But after a few weeks I realise that it's just not all that.

I will be reviewing 3 empties of products I bought in London on a trip for my birthday on the 30th September (like what I did there? now you all know). These have mostly lasted around 5-6 months which is pretty impressive, some died a month or so ago and one passed away this week. Let's do this...

Origins Make A Difference Plus + Rejuvenating Treatment 50ml £34.00

This was sold as a day moisturiser and it does fall in that category, if you have dry skin you could definitely  use this as step before your day cream but for me this alone is enough. It smells amazing, Rose Of Jerico, Lychee and Watermelon making it so fresh and lovely to apply. It goes on with a satin like finish and dries nearly matte, it sinks straight in and my skin drinks this up instantly!

Perfect for any skin type that's de-hydrated - I would 100% re purchase this, however I am always on the look out for something new, so I will probably try out something else for now. However there is no doubt in my mind that this little blue baby will sneak its way back into my skincare routine at some point.

Nars Pore Refining Primer 30ml £25

This primer did not last as long as I'd hoped, I was squeezing the last drop out towards the middle of January so I only got 3-4 months worth of primer from this one. It's consistency is a creamy gel - super light weight and cooling. Its not thick and you cannot feel it, which is great as I can't stand primers that you have to smear on like poly filler - I don't want to feel primer on my skin I just want it to do its job.
This was good, not amazing but good. I wouldn't re purchase this as I believe there are way better primers for the price and similar to this for less.
If you're combination its perfect, but in my opinion if your oily to very oily don't bother as you'll need something that packs a stronger punch.

Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque 1.4 grams £18.50

Now let to start this review with one simple statement; "I am on my third one". Oh Yeah.
This under eye corrector is pure magic, seriously what is in this!? Unicorn tears? The secret to eternal fresh under eyes? It's perfection. why?
It's so creamy is glides on effortlessly especially when  paired with my Kiehls creamy avocado eye treatment. You only need a tiny bit, a little goes along way with this product. It could be a little bigger, I'd say one of these last around 2-3 months which isn't the worst shelf-life ,but not the best when its simply for under eye use and not general concealing. Bobbi Brown offer this baby as the second step in your under eye regime; cream, corrector, concealer.
This is just fine as the final step, I don't add concealer over the top now, that may be because of the shade and also my skin tone;  but if you want to you definitely can (Caution: don't buy the Bobbi Brown concealer it's nasty; creases, smears and wears off, I can't believe its from the same brand and this heavenly offering!)

So that's it for now, I am sure these will be regular post every month or so, as I really do try and use up everything I buy unless its just totally useless - but that's for another day...

Until next time... ( your thinking of buying the Bobbi Brown now aren't you?)
